The National Intellectual Property Administration has just announced that Unitree Robotics Co., Ltd., based in Hangzhou, has officially obtained an invention patent for a humanoid robot specifically designed to perform the traditional Chinese "Yangko Dance."

The patent details reveal that this humanoid robot is adorned in a vibrant red cotton-padded jacket and gracefully wields a red handkerchief, closely resembling the robots that stole the show with their "Yangko Dance" performance at this year's CCTV Spring Festival Gala.

The information that has been made public indicates that this patent pertains to the robot's aesthetic design, with the product being tailored for mechanical robots. The key design elements lie in its distinctive shape and form.

It's worth noting that Unitree Robotics has been proactive in securing multiple patents related to the "Yangko Dance" robot and its underlying technologies. These include patents and specific clauses covering "performing robots," "a performing robot and its dance performance method," "group collaboration techniques," and more.

In a similar vein, Unitree Robotics has also been busy applying for a plethora of patents concerning humanoid robots in general. As of now, the company has submitted close to 10 patent applications related to humanoid robots, encompassing inventions, utility models, and appearance designs. Some notable patents include "a leg power structure for a humanoid robot and the robot itself," "a robot and its control method," among others, with several of them being intricately linked to keywords associated with traditional Chinese culture.

According to prior announcements made by Unitree Robotics, the company has set its sights on submitting listing application documents to the stock exchange between October and December 2025. This strategic move has triggered significant fluctuations in the stock prices of listed companies that either hold stakes in or have established cooperative relationships with Unitree Robotics.
