Recently, spurred by the "national subsidy" policy, mobile phone consumption has continued to escalate, and the tablet market, a subsidiary segment, has likewise embraced a wave of warmth.
According to statistics from research firm Canalys, the domestic tablet market defied trends in the first quarter of this year, achieving growth rates nearing 19%. In terms of individual vendor shipments, Xiaomi and Honor have both capitalized on this "tremendous opportunity."
Among them, Xiaomi, which surged by 41% at the end of last year, maintained its position as the top player in growth rate in the first quarter of this year. Its growth momentum has intensified, with an annual growth rate of 57% and shipments exceeding 1.4 million units.
Given this, Xiaomi could increase by more than 50% in the first quarter without new products to bolster the market. Should the pricing of the upcoming Redmi K Pad, a gaming tablet, be favorable, it is anticipated to achieve new acceleration.

Huawei still holds the top spot, occupying 26% of the market share. Apple, ranking second, although its growth rate is comparable to Huawei's, the gap between their shipments has widened to 200,000 units.
Honor, trailing Xiaomi, has not yet reached the million-unit shipment mark this time but has increased by 41% compared to the same period last year, directly surpassing Lenovo.
Furthermore, Honor has secured a significant order in the Middle East market. According to foreign media reports, the Honor Pad 9X has successfully won the bid for Iraq's first-quarter paperless census project, with an order volume of up to 120,000 units.
It is noteworthy that while competitors are sprinting ahead with all their might, Lenovo has lagged behind, experiencing a year-on-year decline of 23%.
Moreover, looking ahead to the second half of this year, as vendors like Redmi and Red Magic rush to enter the small-sized tablet market, it remains to be seen whether Lenovo's Y700 fourth generation can withstand this onslaught.
