On July 3, Xpeng Motors proudly unveiled its latest model, the Xpeng G7, which quickly garnered over 10,000 pre-orders within just 9 minutes of its launch.

The Xpeng G7 is offered in three distinct configurations, catering to different needs. The 602 long-range Max variant is priced at RMB 195,800, the 702 ultra-long-range Max at RMB 205,800, and the top-of-the-line 702 ultra-long-range Ultra at RMB 225,800.

Xpeng boasts that the G7 is the world's first L3-level AI car with significant computing power. The Max version comes standard with two Orin-X chips, while the Ultra version introduces a groundbreaking feature—it is equipped with three self-developed Turing AI chips, delivering a total computing power of 2250 TOPS. Furthermore, the G7 collaborates with Huawei to present an impressive pursuit-of-light panoramic HUD system.

Adding to its advanced features, the G7 Ultra pioneers the integration of the intelligent driving VLA-OL+ VLM model. Users can anticipate an OTA update for the VLA software in September, enabling a visual display of thinking and reasoning. A free upgrade of VLM hardware and software via OTA will follow in November. By December, the G7 will offer the capability of VLA+VLM to record and learn individual driving habits, along with the introduction of voice control and active recommendation functions.

In terms of space, the G7 rivals Tesla's Model Y, boasting "comprehensive superiority in space." With dimensions of 4892×1925×1655mm, a wheelbase of 2890mm, and a trunk capacity that can expand up to 2277L from its standard 819L, the G7 offers ample room for passengers and luggage.

Regarding range, the G7 adopts a single-motor rear-wheel-drive system, boasting a maximum motor power of 218kW. All versions come standard with an impressive range of 702km (CLTC), universal 800V compatibility, and 5C supercharging capabilities.
