On September 29th, Xiao Hong, the founder of Manus, posted a lengthy message on Jike, revealing that at the time of Manus's inception, the market lacked products akin to Codex and the collaborative features of Claude.

Xiao Hong clarified that Manus has consistently been envisioned as a 'universal agent (genera-agent).' He likened Manus to the sale of computers—while the primary purpose might be work, a computer devoid of the ability to watch videos or play games would lack versatility and appeal.

Discussing the new offering, Cue, Xiao Hong mused, "An entity with its own phone number, email, payment method, computer, and a sufficient level of 'intelligence' could potentially be considered a 'person.' If it truly embodies the qualities of a person, then its upper layer should exhibit a multitude of variations, such as the potential for groups comprising both humans and bots."

He also highlighted that Manus has already established a commendable user experience within its overseas ecosystem, with active preparations underway for the domestic launch.

Manus has officially unveiled its personal AI assistant, Cue. It is reported that Cue leverages a multi-Agent system, empowering users to craft distinct agents tailored to specific task requirements.

As per the official design, each Agent can be allocated an independent email address, phone number, virtual wallet, and a dedicated cloud computer; the spending limit for the wallet is predetermined by the user. Furthermore, different Agents can collaborate within groups to efficiently divide and conquer complex tasks; these groups also facilitate the participation of real users and AI Bots in joint conversations.

At present, Cue is in its overseas early access phase, with the domestic version still in the pipeline.
