JAC Motors Hits Price Ceiling, Leverages Huawei to Step into the 'Post-Seres' Era

On the afternoon of September 22, the automotive sector witnessed a surge, with JAC Motors' stock price soaring to its daily limit at the close of trading, settling at RMB 21.32 per share. This propelled the company's market capitalization to a staggering RMB 48.059 billion. The day's trading volume reached RMB 2.914 billion, with a turnover rate of 6.35% and a trading range of 10.68%.

On that day, the broader 'automotive sector' only saw a modest 0.3% increase. However, JAC Motors' stock price suddenly surged to its daily limit and remained there, while BAIC BluePark, Yutong Bus, and BYD experienced slight gains.

Analysts attribute the abnormal movement in JAC Motors' stock price to two primary factors.

Firstly, following alterations in its cooperation model with Huawei's AITO brand, JAC Motors reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to a long-term partnership with Huawei. Secondly, renewed rumors surfaced regarding a potential trilateral collaboration involving Maserati, an ultra-luxury brand under the Stellantis Group, JAC Motors, and Huawei.

On September 16, the Zunjie vehicle owner delivery ceremony (Hefei) took place at the Zunjie Super Smart Factory Experience Center, featuring two models: the Zunjie V800 and the Zunjie S800 Grand Design.

Xiang Xingchu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of JAC Group, attended the ceremony to personally hand over the vehicles to the owners. He emphasized that Zunjie's long-term investment in the ultra-luxury segment would persist, with subsequent efforts aimed at expanding the product matrix to encompass more niche scenarios, such as SUV sports luxury. Regarding the collaboration with Huawei, Xiang Xingchu stated that JAC would firmly collaborate with Huawei and supply chain partners to manufacture and market high-quality vehicles and provide exceptional service to vehicle owners.

Furthermore, according to a report by Italy's Milano Finanza on September 4, Maserati plans to collaborate with Zunjie, a joint brand of Huawei and JAC Motors, to launch electric vehicles that combine Italian design, Huawei technology, and JAC Motors' manufacturing prowess.

Rumors indicate that the cooperation is nearing finalization, although the agreement has not yet been signed. It is expected to be announced at Maserati's Investor Day in Modena, Italy, in December this year. If the agreement is reached, production of the new vehicle is slated to commence before the end of 2027. #JAC Responds to Cooperation with Huawei# JAC Motors' Stock Price Suddenly Hits Daily Limit in the Afternoon
