After the departure of the "spiritual leader" Zhao Ming for about six months, Honor appears to have finally revitalized its growth trajectory under the guidance of Li Jian.

Since the second quarter of this year, while Honor has yet to reclaim its former glory, it has gathered momentum in specific market segments.

According to recent revelations from Wang Ban, President of Honor Sales and Services, in the intense competition of the Hong Kong mobile phone market in June, Honor surpassed Apple for the first time, securing the second position with a record-high market share of 20.2%.

Moreover, Honor has also delivered promising news in the fertile grounds of the Middle East and Africa.

According to the latest report by research firm Canalys, during the second quarter, these two major markets experienced a surge, with mobile phone manufacturers achieving new growth benchmarks.

Among them, Honor emerged as the most remarkable dark horse, recording a year-on-year increase of 117%, and its market share even surpassed Apple by two percentage points.

"King of Africa" Transsion maintained its leading position, holding approximately 35% of the market share. Following Transsion were Samsung and Xiaomi, whose growth rates were not as steep as Honor's, but their overall market share currently stands at 2-3 times that of Honor.

Specifically, in terms of popular models across various manufacturers, Honor also delivered an impressive performance.

According to the actual sales ranking statistics from blogger @RD Observation, Honor occupied two spots in the top 10 best-selling models in the latest week of this year, with the Honor X70 coming in third, trailing only behind Apple's flagship model.

Looking ahead to the second half of this year, Honor will not only have the compact foldable Magic V Flip2 to bolster its lineup but also rumors suggest that the flagship Magic 8 series will introduce an Ultra product line. Will Honor capitalize on this growth momentum to reclaim its position among the domestic top 5? Time will tell.
