Recently, the high-end new energy mining equipment manufacturing project of Lingong (Inner Mongolia) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has been fully implemented in Jungar Banner. Upon reaching full production, the project will annually produce 2,000 new energy mining trucks, providing equipment support for the construction of green mines and industrial transformation and upgrading in Jungar Banner.
The newly launched new energy mining trucks can charge from 20% to 90% in just 23 minutes, as tested by the company, and their operational efficiency is comparable to that of traditional fuel-powered mining trucks. Equipped with large-capacity, high-density batteries and an independent thermal management system, these vehicles can operate stably in temperature ranges from minus 30°C to 50°C, enhancing the attendance rate and production efficiency of mining equipment. However, it should be noted that actual charging performance is influenced by operating conditions, and variations in temperature, load, and power grid conditions across different mining areas may lead to differences in data.
The project is equipped with megawatt-level ultra-fast charging stations that support multiple charging guns, allowing simultaneous charging for clusters of 6 to 12 mining trucks. This reduces fleet downtime and lowers the investment and operational costs of charging facilities in mining areas. Leveraging an integrated photovoltaic-storage-charging model, the project establishes a zero-carbon closed loop of "photovoltaic + energy storage + ultra-fast charging + mining trucks," enabling local consumption of green electricity, achieving low-noise and zero-emission operations in mining areas, and improving the working environment for frontline personnel.
Jungar Banner is a nationally significant coal production base, characterized by harsh operating conditions and high equipment intensity in mining areas. Traditional fuel-powered mining trucks face issues such as high fuel consumption, significant emissions, and high operational and maintenance costs. The introduction of new energy mining trucks directly addresses these pain points, with fast charging capabilities overcoming the core limitations of short range and slow recharging in electric mining trucks, while wide temperature adaptability meets the actual operating demands of northern mining areas during winter cold spells.
From an industrial perspective, Lingong's deployment of new energy mining truck manufacturing in Jungar Banner aligns with the region's recent strategy of promoting "integrated coal-electricity-chemical development and green mine construction." Jungar Banner is transitioning from traditional coal mining to a diversified industrial model of "coal + new energy + equipment manufacturing." The new energy mining truck project serves as both equipment support for green mine construction and a crucial component of local industrial chain extension.
However, large-scale adoption of new energy mining trucks in mining areas still faces practical challenges. The construction of megawatt-level ultra-fast charging stations requires high grid capacity in mining areas, and the upfront investment costs for the integrated photovoltaic-storage-charging model are substantial. Significant variations in geological conditions, transportation distances, and operational intensity across different mining areas necessitate practical operational verification of equipment adaptability. The actual operational performance of the project after reaching full production will depend on subsequent market feedback.
