Data Scope: Insured vehicles refer to the monthly total of compulsory traffic insurance (sum of model-level totals).
Wholesale figures are derived from BYD's production and sales report for new energy vehicles (including exports).
Retail figures are based on DCD Auto's September new energy rankings. The difference between retail and insured figures indicates higher retail sales when positive.
The 180,700 exported units are sourced from the production and sales report.
