Recently, Wang Chuan, a co-founder of Xiaomi, appears to be gradually receding from the public eye.
Indeed, in mid-July, Wang Chuan stepped down as General Manager of Shanghai Xiaomi Information Technology Co., Ltd., and now he has also withdrawn from the management of another Xiaomi subsidiary.
According to data from Tianyancha, Shenzhen Xiaomi Communications Technology Co., Ltd. has undergone significant business changes, with Wang Chuan resigning as Legal Representative, Executive Director, and General Manager. Zhang Jianhui, Xiaomi's Vice President, has taken up the mantle.
Concurrently, Liu De, who previously served as the company's supervisor, has also been removed from the list of key personnel. Currently, only Legal Representative Zhang Jianhui and Financial Officer Sun Qian remain in these roles.

While not as well-known as Lu Weibing, the new leader of Shenzhen Xiaomi Communications is recognized as a competent deputy under Lei Jun.
Zhang Jianhui, a 2002 graduate of Henan Agricultural University, began her career at Kingsoft Software, headed by Lei Jun, where she held various positions including Regional Manager, District Manager, and Channel Director.
Less than a year after Lei Jun founded Xiaomi, Zhang Jianhui joined the company and took charge of Xiaomi Home, which was still in its nascent stages. In 2016, she spearheaded Xiaomi's new retail model, transforming the company's "service stores" into "retail stores."
According to Xiaomi's first biography, "Press Forward Without Hesitation," the average operating revenue of each Xiaomi Home at that time was approximately 70 million yuan. In 2017, the expansion of Xiaomi Home accelerated, with 235 new stores added in just one year, averaging one new store every two days.
Following this impressive track record, Zhang Jianhui has been entrusted with numerous important responsibilities by Lei Jun. She has served as the Special Assistant to the CEO of Xiaomi Group, Vice President of Xiaomi Group, and Chair of the Group Procurement Committee.
What new chapter will this pragmatic and channel-savvy female executive write as she takes charge of Shenzhen Xiaomi Communications? Time will tell.
