What updates have the new Accord and Integra received? When are they being released? Is it worth the wait? Today, let's delve into the latest enhancements of these two models!

Exterior Design: A Successful Refresh

Honda has truly outdone itself this time! The Accord's front end has undergone a complete redesign, integrating a polygonal grille seamlessly with the light cluster. The internal black panel adorned with silver chrome strips lends a more premium aesthetic. The most striking change is the addition of black decorative strips and fang-shaped air deflectors on the bumper, instantly amplifying its sporty flair!

Furthermore, the car's overall length has increased by 10mm, reaching 4990mm. Though it's a minor refresh, the side skirts and rear bumper have been changed from black to body color, enhancing its cohesiveness.

Accord Exterior

The Integra has also seen significant changes! The fuel version's grille has grown notably, shifting from the original black honeycomb design to a horizontal bar style, and the front vent has also expanded. The hybrid version sports a boundaryless grille in body color, offering high differentiation.

Interestingly, the MUGEN version has done away with the black kit! It now features body-colored door handles, chrome window trim, and hidden exhaust... Is this a shift towards refinement? However, the addition of yellow or silver decorative strips retains a hint of its sporty DNA.

Configuration Upgrade: Emphasizing Practicality and Convenience

My favorite upgrade for the Integra is the inclusion of wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity! No more fumbling with cables every time you get in the car. Navigation, music, and voice commands can all be synchronized wirelessly, truly freeing up my USB port!

What else has changed? Electric adjustment for both driver and passenger seats, a reversing camera, rear armrests, and cup holders are now standard... These are features that should have been standard from the outset!

One intriguing change is the removal of the engine auto start-stop button. Is it because no one uses this function, or is it a forced change? Haha!

Integra Interior

Honda hasn't officially announced the configuration changes for the Accord, but it's likely to continue with the current setup of a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central control screen, potentially upgraded to the Honda CONNECT 4.0 intelligent connectivity system. In terms of safety, the Honda SENSING 360+ safety system will undoubtedly be retained, so there's no need for concern.

Powertrain: Steady and Progressive with Minimal Changes

The Accord's 1.5T engine remains the familiar formula, delivering a maximum power of 141kW and a peak torque of 260N·m, paired with a CVT transmission. The plug-in hybrid version still utilizes a combination of a 2.0L engine and an electric motor, with a system combined power of 152kW, a pure electric range of 106km, and a combined fuel consumption of just 4.88L/100km, which is highly satisfying!

The Integra's powertrain also remains unchanged, with a 1.5T engine providing a maximum power of 134kW and a peak torque of 240N·m, offering the option of a 6MT manual transmission! The hybrid version uses a 2.0L engine and an electric motor, with a combined power of 149kW and a fuel consumption of 4.6L per 100km.

To be honest, Honda's powertrain is mature and reliable, so there's no need for significant changes. After all, reliability is Honda's hallmark, isn't it?

Price and Competitiveness Analysis

Currently, the Integra's price range is between 129,900 and 186,900 yuan, while the Accord's spans from 179,800 to 258,800 yuan. Prices should not fluctuate significantly after the launch of the new models, but terminal discounts may be adjusted.

In January, the Accord sold 16,763 units, ranking third in the midsize sedan market, which is impressive! On the other hand, the Integra sold 4,684 units, ranking 20th in the compact sedan segment, which is somewhat disappointing.

Compared to competitors like the Volkswagen Sagitar and the Lynk & Co 03, the Integra's biggest challenge may be its slightly higher pricing - the current model starts at around 130,000 yuan, while the base model of the Sagitar can be had for just over 110,000 yuan after discounts. However, the new Integra has added several features, potentially improving its cost-effectiveness.

Integra Competitor Comparison

The Accord's competitors include the Camry, Passat, and Altima, all within a similar price range. The Accord's plug-in hybrid version, with its fuel consumption of 4.88L per 100km and a pure electric range of 106km, remains highly competitive in its class!

With this refresh, Honda has clearly made numerous adjustments to cater to young people's preferences. The Accord has become more youthful and sporty, while the Integra has enhanced its practicality and technological appeal.

If you're considering purchasing these two models, I recommend waiting. After the official launch on March 20, there may be greater discounts on the current models, and the actual prices of the new models will also become clear. One thing is certain now: the wireless CarPlay function is incredibly practical, making it worth the wait just for that feature alone!
