Geely is truly coming with a 'market-grabbing' mindset this time.
On October 1st, the Galaxy Warship 700 was officially announced for a nationwide launch on October 10th.

As soon as the news broke, the 200,000-yuan-level new energy rugged SUV circle immediately exploded. This is not an ordinary facelifted model or a simple city SUV with a new shell; it is Geely's first AI all-terrain rugged SUV, built on the GTA native new energy off-road architecture.

Currently, the official pre-sale starting price is 199,800 yuan. But I must make one thing clear: this price is only for the pre-sale phase, not the final launch price. The true official guide price, trim levels, purchase benefits, and subsidy policies will all be revealed at the October 10th launch event.
However, even as a pre-sale price, it is already highly impactful. During the pre-sale on September 15th, it achieved a remarkable sales record of 43,900 units sold in just 60 minutes.

Native new energy off-road architecture, not playing the 'converted from gasoline' game
The most impressive aspect of the Galaxy Warship 700 is not its intimidating appearance but its fundamentally different approach from traditional rugged SUVs.
It is developed from the ground up based on the GTA native new energy off-road architecture, integrating the battery, electric motors, chassis, and off-road capabilities from the outset. This means it is not just a 'gasoline car with an electric shell' but structurally balances urban comfort, pure electric efficiency, and professional off-road capability.

This is crucial in the 200,000-yuan-level new energy rugged SUV segment.
Traditional off-road SUVs rely on large displacements and mechanical structures, making them heavy and fuel-inefficient; many city SUVs look rugged but have unsuitable chassis and four-wheel-drive systems for complex terrain. The Galaxy Warship 700 aims for a more comprehensive approach: daily commuting, weekend camping, and handling unpaved roads without hesitation.
Boxy design, but this car's focus is not just on 'looks'
Visually, the Galaxy Warship 700 is a standard boxy rugged SUV. With a flat body, vertical front fascia, external spare tire, and side-opening tailgate, it exudes a strong presence, immediately signaling that it is not just a city-bound SUV.
But what truly determines its capabilities are its body size and chassis specifications.
The body length is 5085mm, width 1999mm, and wheelbase 2900mm. This size places it in the mid-to-large SUV category, ensuring ample space. Whether it's front-seat comfort, rear-seat passenger space, or trunk capacity for camping gear, it has the confidence to deliver.
The chassis is even more hardcore.
The new car is equipped with an integrated high-rigidity frame, front aluminum double-wishbone suspension, and high-end trims feature a dual-chamber closed air suspension and CCD continuously variable damping shock absorbers. With a minimum ground clearance of 233mm (unladen), an approach angle of 30°, departure angle of 31°, and a maximum wading depth of 800mm.
What do these numbers mean?
They mean it is not just a 'city rugged look' but has genuine off-road credentials. It can handle rough roads, potholes, gravel, sand, and relatively deep wading sections.
Three powertrains, from fuel-efficient commuting to 3.95-second acceleration
In terms of power, the Galaxy Warship 700 is generous.
The new car offers three versions: 1.5T two-wheel drive, 1.5T three-motor four-wheel drive, and 2.0T three-motor four-wheel drive. The top-spec 2.0T three-motor four-wheel drive has a combined power output of up to 830kW, achieving a 0-100km/h acceleration in just 3.95 seconds.
This acceleration performance is not just 'adequate for home use' but performance car-level. A sizable rugged SUV achieving acceleration close to that of million-yuan performance cars was previously hard to imagine.

Of course, not everyone needs 3.95 seconds.
More importantly, it offers choices to users. Those wanting economy can opt for the 1.5T version; those seeking true off-road performance and explosive power can go for the three-motor four-wheel drive. This coverage is more practical than many models that only push a single 'high-performance version.'

All trims come standard with a 47.14kWh battery, offering a maximum pure electric range of 305km. For daily commuting, if charging is convenient, it can essentially be used as a pure electric vehicle; for long-distance travel, it avoids the range anxiety associated with pure electric models.
Four-wheel drive, crab mode, U-turns: It packs rugged features to the brim
The off-road capabilities of the Galaxy Warship 700 go far beyond just 'having four-wheel drive.'
It features AI intelligent four-wheel drive, rear mechanical differential lock, and supports crab mode, in-place waltz turns, hill descent control, and more. The vehicle also offers nine fixed terrain modes and six customizable AI terrain modes.
While it sounds like many features, the core is simple: making complex terrain easier to navigate.
Especially the AI digital chassis, which claims a 50ms rapid response time, can automatically adjust the suspension and power distribution based on road conditions. This is crucial for novices. Traditional off-road vehicles require experience and driving skills, whereas it attempts to enable more people to venture out through intelligent systems.
Intelligence is not neglected; rugged does not mean simplistic
Rugged SUVs have traditionally been perceived as 'good enough to run, with simple interiors.'
But the Galaxy Warship 700 does not follow this script.
It is equipped with Geely's latest EEA 4.0 quantum-level electronic and electrical architecture, featuring the Qianli Haohan H7 intelligent driving solution, optional LiDAR, and supports highway pilot, intelligent assisted driving, 540° transparent chassis, automatic parking, and other functions.
This means it is not just 'capable off-road' but also provides a more complete intelligent driving experience on urban roads and highways.
Comfort is not compromised either. All trims come standard with seat ventilation and heating, as well as a panoramic sunroof, multiple airbags, active tire pressure monitoring, and other configurations. This makes it no longer a one-dimensional 'off-road toy' but a truly versatile SUV suitable for family use.

Pre-sale orders broke 10,000 in 9 minutes, but price is the key move
After discussing product strength, we must return to the most practical question: Is it worth it?
During the pre-sale phase, the Galaxy Warship 700 generated high interest, with small deposit orders surpassing 10,000 units in just 9 minutes after pre-sales opened. This data indicates high market expectations, especially in the 200,000-yuan-level new energy rugged SUV segment.
But I must remind: pre-sale enthusiasm does not equal final sales.
What truly determines its success is the official price and benefits announced on October 10th.
Currently, the pre-sale price starts at 199,800 yuan. This threshold is already high; if the final launch price increases further and the entry-level trim lacks Sincerity in configurations, it may push some users away. Conversely, if Geely can stabilize the launch price or offer surprises in benefits, trade-ins, or battery policies, its impact will be significant.

This car's true competitors are not ordinary SUVs
The positioning of the Galaxy Warship 700 is actually quite clever.
It does not directly compete with traditional luxury rugged SUVs but targets users who want 'a vehicle that can serve as a family car, handle off-roading, offer intelligence, and not be too expensive.' These users do not seek extreme rock-crawling capabilities but an SUV they dare to drive out of the city on weekends and are willing to use daily.
If the launch price is Sincerity (competitive), it will exert significant pressure on the 200,000-300,000-yuan new energy SUV segment.
Because many models in this price range are either city-focused or off-road-focused, making it hard to achieve the comprehensive capabilities of the Galaxy Warship 700. Its approach is clear: I do not just give you a single area of excellence but an option with Almost no obvious shortcomings (almost no significant weaknesses).
October 10th: The real suspense (suspense) is revealed
So, my evaluation of this car is: its product strength is already sufficient; the next question is whether the price is aggressive enough.
The pre-sale starting at 199,800 yuan is just the first step. The true impact will come from the official guide price, trim configurations, and purchase benefits announced on launch day.
If Geely shows Sincerity (sincerity), the Galaxy Warship 700 could very well become a dark horse in the 200,000-yuan-level new energy rugged SUV segment. But if the price and benefits fall short of expectations, the configurations piled up earlier will struggle to translate into true market success.
Whether it is 'pre-sale peak' or 'launch even stronger' will be revealed on October 10th.
