I. Introduction: Zhaoxin-Powered AI Computers

Amidst the surge of AI, office computers are transforming from mere "tool carriers" into "intelligent productivity hubs." This metamorphosis spans hardware architecture, software ecosystems, interaction methods, and scenario adaptability, enhancing office efficiency, collaboration modes, and productivity paradigms.

Contrary to popular belief, IT innovation computers equipped with various Linux systems are not devoid of intelligence. Recently, MAXHUB unveiled an AIPC powered by the domestic Zhaoxin Kaixian KX-7000 processor, a bold attempt to integrate domestic IT innovation with AI.

As a newcomer in the IT innovation computer market, MAXHUB leverages its robust R&D capabilities to seamlessly integrate AI tools into the operating system, enabling users to directly achieve results. This shift from "users finding functions" to "functions finding users" empowers tools to proactively serve people.

The MAXHUB AI+ PC incorporates numerous AI functionalities, not only replicating traditional question-and-answer AI capabilities but also predicting and assisting users in completing tasks.

For instance, dragging an image triggers functions like text extraction, large-screen sharing with image format conversion, image editing, and intelligent image cropping. Dragging a PPT enables PDF conversion and large-screen sharing. It can also analyze and process vast amounts of data and documents, understand usage habits, predict intentions, and allow users to focus on the problem itself, embodying true results-oriented AI. Notably, these AI functions are powered by the integrated graphics processor of the KX-7000 processor.

Among China's six domestic CPUs, Kunpeng and Phytium are based on the ARM architecture, mainly targeting the embedded or server market. Sunway uses its proprietary SW64 architecture, powerful and suitable for supercomputing. Haiguang's CPU is based on the AMD-licensed Zen1 core architecture, mainly used in servers. Loongson has evolved from the MIPS instruction set to the LoongArch instruction set architecture.

Only Zhaoxin's CPU is a domestic X86-based processor targeting a full range of PCs and servers. The Kaixian KX-7000 is Zhaoxin's current flagship PC processor.

As an independent X86 processor, the Zhaoxin KX-7000 boasts 8 cores, offering 4MB of L2 cache and 32MB of L3 cache, with a maximum operating frequency of 3.6GHz. It is compatible with mainstream x86 instruction sets and delivers twice the computational performance of the previous-generation Zhaoxin KX-6000.

The KX-7000 series processors employ Zhaoxin's self-developed Chiplet interconnection architecture, ZPI 4.0, which integrates the CPU Die and IO Die into a single processor chip, enabling multiple uses of a single Die.

The built-in GPU core model is C-1190, which, compared to the C-960 in the KX-6000, adds support for DirectX 12 API and also supports OpenCL 1.2, OpenGL 4.6, H.265 HEVC/H.264 AVC, and dual 4K output. Graphics performance has improved by over four times, sufficient for daily office and audiovisual needs.

Thanks to the X86 architecture, the KX-7000 is compatible with mainstream x86 32/64-bit instruction sets like AVX and AVX256. It also supports processor and IO virtualization technologies. Therefore, when using apps translated from the X86 platform, there are almost no compatibility issues, a feat unattainable by other domestic processors.

Regarding MAXHUB, many may be unfamiliar. MAXHUB's parent company, CVTE, founded in 2005, has a 20-year history. It is a pioneer and leader in the domestic interactive smart panel category. CVTE has been in the industrial computer business for over a decade and possesses the ability to independently design and develop board cards, a capability usually found only in industry leaders. Thus, it is more reliable in terms of R&D design, problem localization efficiency, and problem-solving speed.

II. Innovative Mortise and Tenon Case: Direct Link Connection, 10L Compact Case Ideal for Daily Office Work

The MAXHUB AI+ PC is exceptionally compact, with a body thickness of about 10cm and a volume of 10L, less than 1/4 that of an ATX host, making it space-efficient on the desktop.

Opening the side cover reveals a neat layout with almost no visible wiring.

The common 24Pin motherboard power cable and 8Pin CPU power cable are concealed.

The mortise and tenon architecture keeps the interior of the MAXHUB AI+ PC tidy, allowing easy access to components needing maintenance or upgrades.

The MAXHUB AI+ PC employs a direct link connection method, simplifying numerous cables and eliminating poor contact issues caused by loose or oxidized traditional power cables.

The only relatively prominent cable is the 4Pin connection line for the CPU fan.

On the left are the I/O interfaces: 3x3.5 audio interface, VGA interface, Gigabit Ethernet port, 4x5Gbps USB-A interface, DP, and HDMI interface.

Four foot pads on the right side allow the PC to be placed horizontally in addition to the traditional vertical position.

When placed horizontally, the monitor can rest on top, serving as a base and further freeing up desktop space.

The passive cooler's silent power supply has an output specification of 15V12A, with a maximum power of 180W.

Shown is the Zhaoxin KX-7000 processor with an LGA socket, facilitating easy upgrades if the next-generation Zhaoxin processor adopts the same interface.

III. KX-7000 + Kylin Operating System Experience

1. Online Video Experience

Playing a 1080P video on Bilibili with H264 decoding, the video frame rate was 30FPS, bitrate was 5966Kbps, and 11640 frames were played with 0 frame drops.

CPU utilization was 29%, ensuring no impact on other tasks during video playback.

Playing a 4K resolution high-bitrate video with H264 decoding, the video frame rate was 30FPS, bitrate was 16133Kbps, and 11238 frames were played with 0 frame drops.

Despite a three-fold increase in bitrate, CPU utilization only slightly rose to 36%, still not affecting other tasks.

2. Office Experience

Searching for WPS in the software store revealed personal and professional versions, and we chose to install the personal version.

Handling spreadsheets was as smooth as on the Windows system, with a consistent interface.

Opening a 50MB Word document while simultaneously transferring files via QQ, CPU utilization was only 8%, indicating no pressure.

3. Baidu Netdisk

Downloading the Baidu Netdisk app from the software store, logging in, and directly playing a 1080P video from the netdisk was seamless with no lag.

Download speed from the netdisk was normal at 25MB/s.

IV. Stress Test

1. CPU-Z

In CPU-Z, we can see detailed parameters of the Zhaoxin KX-7000, including 8 cores and 8 threads, 768KB of L1 cache, 4MB of L2 cache, and 32MB of L3 cache.

In terms of benchmarking, the multi-core performance of the Zhaoxin KX-7000 is sufficient for office work.

2. Stress Test

To test overall stability and cooling capabilities, we conducted a 3-hour and 47-minute stress test using AIDA64 FPU, during which the CPU temperature stabilized at 84 degrees.

V. MAXHUB Computer Assistant AI Experience

The MAXHUB AI+ computer helps users directly achieve results, shifting from "people finding functions" to "functions finding people," making tools actively serve users.

1. Text Extraction

By opening the computer assistant and dragging an image to the desktop, functions like text extraction, large-screen sharing, folder sharing, image format conversion, image editing, and intelligent image cropping are accessible.
