On the evening of August 24, Phoenix Optics unveiled its semi-annual financial report for 2026, revealing a nuanced performance. While the company generated 787 million yuan in revenue for the first half of the year, marking a modest 3.45% year-on-year (YoY) increase, its net profit attributable to shareholders dipped by 71.67% YoY to 6.606 million yuan. However, a closer look at the core earnings metric—net profit excluding non-recurring gains and losses—paints a more positive picture, with a robust 10.90% YoY surge to 4.5946 million yuan.

From a business structure standpoint, Phoenix Optics demonstrated balanced growth across its key segments. Optical components revenue climbed 11.59% YoY to 283 million yuan, while controllers revenue rose 2.38% YoY to 272 million yuan. Precision machining also contributed positively, with a 6.77% YoY increase to 202 million yuan. Leveraging its full-chain technological R&D and manufacturing prowess, the optical business honed in on high-quality core areas such as automotive, security, infrared, and medical applications, resulting in a commendable 8.87% YoY rise in main business revenue to 503 million yuan.

The second quarter proved particularly fruitful for Phoenix Optics, with revenue surging 6.94% YoY and 23.31% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 435 million yuan. Net profit attributable to shareholders also witnessed a remarkable QoQ spike of 570.68% to 8.3881 million yuan.

A notable highlight of the reporting period was the company's relentless pursuit of strategic transformation. Research and development efforts were intensified in core optical and intelligent controller domains, with the optical business accelerating its shift towards high-growth sectors like automotive projection, LiDAR, infrared thermal imaging, and medical endoscopes. This strategic pivot paid dividends, as Phoenix Optics' market share in the LiDAR arena expanded steadily. The optical segment also achieved significant technological milestones, including core process iterations for LiDAR zoned coating and mass production of chalcogenide infrared lens molding.

On the international front, Phoenix Optics made significant strides with its wholly-owned subsidiary in Vietnam, which completed local industrial and commercial registration in March 2026. The subsidiary, primarily engaged in the manufacturing and assembly of optoelectronic products, aims to cater to the diverse supply chain needs of overseas customers. This move bore fruit, as overseas business revenue registered YoY growth in the first half of the year, with its proportion in the overall revenue pie expanding further.
