Recently, Weijing Optics proudly announced the official launch of its Mudanjiang Production Base, strategically located within the Mudanjiang Industrial Collaboration Park in Heilongjiang.

The base is dedicated to manufacturing laser ranging and infrared optical products. In its inaugural phase, a sprawling 1,200-square-meter factory has been erected. With the integration of automated production lines expected within the year, the annual production capacity is projected to soar to 50,000 units. The second phase envisions an expansion to 3,000 square meters, with the production capacity to be boosted to 200,000 units.
Weijing Optics has positioned AI computational optical imaging as the cornerstone of its technological strategy. Its groundbreaking "AI Computational Imaging Pan-Focus Technology" has been recognized and included in the national "Insight Action" innovation achievement transformation catalog, bolstered by over 60 intellectual property rights applications. Furthermore, the company has forged collaborative ties with esteemed institutions such as Harbin Institute of Technology and Beijing Institute of Technology, establishing joint laboratories to drive innovation.
Just a month prior to the Mudanjiang base's grand opening, Weijing Optics, in partnership with Beijing Institute of Technology, unveiled Omniphase V1.0, the nation's first independently controllable computational optical design software, effectively bridging the gap in domestic tools in this domain. Earlier in June, Weijing Optics inked a strategic cooperation agreement with ZW Micro. Its "Minimalist Multidimensional Intelligent Perception Camera," co-developed with teams from Tsinghua University and Beijing Institute of Technology, is slated for deployment on the ZW Micro C2000 cargo spacecraft. This marks the country's inaugural space flight verification of a computational optical intelligent perception camera.
From bridging gaps in design software and achieving on-orbit verification of aerospace products to realizing scalable production capacity at the Mudanjiang base, Weijing Optics is adeptly converting its technological prowess in computational optics into robust and scalable manufacturing capabilities.
